John Adams Associates is strategically located in the National Press Building, home to much of the Washington-based national and international press. We are in the heart of the nation’s capital, within walking distance from the White House and Capitol Hill.
Because of our position with Kellen Company (www.kellencompany.com) – a global professional services firm that serves more than 100 association and corporate clients worldwide – interns at John Adams Associates will have opportunities for diverse work experience in PR, public affairs and association management.
We choose our interns from candidates who are highly motivated, eager to learn, possess good writing skills, and have a lively interest in public policy.
Our internship program provides individuals the opportunity to utilize their own special skills and talents. Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Strategic research
- Media research and monitoring
- Development of press materials
- Assisting with organization of special events
- Legislation/regulatory tracking
- Attending press events and preparing briefing materials
- Conducting media calls
Interns are also able to take advantage of our location in the National Press Building by attending keynote luncheon speeches by national and world leaders at the National Press Club.
